Benjy “Benjyfishy” Fish left Fortnite last year to find his feet as a pro-VALORANT and build a career in VALORANT; he’s now reached that milestone and can now aim to win a world title.

Benjy “Benjyfishy” Fish was revealed to have joined Team Heretics on Wednesday after signing a deal that will see him join the VCT EMEA team’s starting roster. This is coming barely just a week to spare before the start of the EMEA LCQ.

Reports in June indicated that a deal was already agreed upon between Benjyfishy and Heretics, and Wednesday’s announcement confirms it. The former Fortnite star and standout EMEA Challengers player will fill replace former VALORANT champion Aleksander “Zeek” Zygmunt.

Benjyfishy took the decision to step away from competitive Fortnite in June 2022, as he stated that he had fallen out of love with the game and didn’t have the desire to continue playing. He was just 18 back then, but even at that, he was known as one of the best players in the game and also very popular in the ecosystem after his long-term stay at NRG.

Before joining Team Heretics, Benjyfishy trialed with a lot of rosters before joining Enterprise Esports at the end of 2022 and played in the 2023 VCL East: Surge Challengers league.

In the 2023 season, he helped Enterprise have a good season and played primarily on the Killjoy, although they finished second in total points earned. This was majorly because of their losses to the eventual league winners, Acend.

After winning the league, Acend moved on to EMEA Ascension, and although Enterprise qualified for the EMEA Ascension, Benjyfishy didn’t play in the competition as they competed without him.

Reports said he was left out because he had already committed to Heretics. Heretics’s complete roster has some major EMEA names, including mix well, keloqz, AvovA, Boo, and Benjyfishy.

The roster’s debut together will be on July 19 against KOI at the EMEA LCQ.
