Hanwha Life Esports’s win at the LCK Summer Finals against Gen.G hasn’t won them the favoritism of fans and enthusiasts ahead of the 2024 League of Legends World Championship.

Fans do not still see HLE as a favorite; instead, they regard Gen.G as a favorite for the World trophy, as many do not expect an impact from HLE as bad as it is. However, HLE players are used to the bias against their team, and mid-laner Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo is ready to prove them wrong.

The team is going into Worlds 2024 as the first seed from the LCK, and they will start from the main stage directly, with their first game coming on the first day of the competition against PSG Talon. The win was followed by another win over G2 Esport the next day.

As the first seed from the LCK, HLE came into Worlds 2024, starting directly on the main stage. On the first day of competition, they secured a strong win against PSG Talon, followed by an intense victory over G2 Esports on the second day.

After two consecutive wins, HLE was just a step away from getting to the knockout stage. Ahead of the third matchup, which has brought up Gen.G Zeka has revealed his outlook on the game and how HLE must win the game.

“I think from their perspective, we still have a long way to go. I guess all we have to do is keep participating in the event and keep proving ourselves. Being good for one time doesn’t really mean anything. You have to be consistently good, and I think that’s the Crown for me. We have to win the match tomorrow, so I think regardless of who we actually get, it’s going to be an amazing banger,” concluded Zeka.

The rematch of the LCK Summer final will be the first quarterfinalists for Worlds 2024.
