The semifinal stage of the Thunderpick WC 2024 EU Qualifiers is here, but it is after some very tough quarter-final matches where some big names were knocked out of the competition while others look to pick the last qualifying spot for the upcoming Thunderpick World Championship 2024 CS2 tournament in October.

That final slot will be contested by Cloud9 and BetBoom in order to be part of the train to the October event. However, in the earlier events, the match between BetBoom and Gaimin Gladiators went even for a period before the Danes were dropped with a 2:0 score by the Russians BetBoom, who has zorte and KaiR0N impress in the series with big numbers, something which was missing for Gaimin Gladiators, as their experienced players like roeJ and niccoodoz ghosted.

Meanwhile, Cloud9 didn’t disappoint when they faced ALTERNATE aTTaX, where they were considered heavy favorites. Cloud9 went a map down first on their way to taking the series 2:1. They ended the last map with a strong 13:4 score to finish ALTERNATE aTTaX.

TSM is one of the most disappointing of the teams that fell in the competition after losing to Young Ninjas, who stormed past TSM in the biggest Thunderpick WC 2024 EU Qualifiers quarter-finals result.

Young Ninjas beat an experienced TSM side that had valde, acoR, and Niko in a 2:0 win. Perhaps TSM only had a single person performing, with Zyphon doing the most to keep them alive in the series. AWPer acoR was unlike himself as he put up a poor showing. The same thing happened to Altekz, putting their chances in the game in jeopardy.

However, Young Ninjas also deserve their accolades as they did their best across the board, with youngster xKacpersky emerging as the best, putting up a positive performance.
