There seem to be trouble and problems in paradise months after the conclusion of the ALGS Split One Playoff, as players are just getting their payouts from the competition. The ALGS Split One Playoffs ended on Mar 25, 2024, but it has been trailed by controversies surrounding non-payments and errors in payment of prize monies.

The latest is that three players from teams that were relegated have received a whopping $100,000 for “winning Pro League.” One of the three players who were wrongful beneficiaries is Zeddo, who was one of the substitutes at Native Gaming (N8V). He played just one day, from across the entire split, for them.

The player received his prize payment on Jul 9, but to his surprise, $100,000 was deposited into his account. However, he is not the only “beneficiary” of this payment. The other two are Apex Legends pros, Xeriffer and Feuda, who also got similar payments for their participation in the ALGS Split One.

However, Native Gaming ended the competition 16th, while Xeriffer’s team at the time of the competition placed 29th, and Passion (Feuda’s team) finished 11th. Meanwhile, complaints continue to come in from the participants in the competition, who are surprised.

While these payments came as a surprise to some players, some others lamented that they have reportedly received way lesser amounts than what was reported, and some players claim they have not gotten anything for their participation in the ALGS Split One Playoffs.

Some of the underpaid players are BLEED Shooby, REJECT KaronPe, and NIP Gnaske, while players who have been incorrectly paid are meat Lovers TeQ, Oblivion Reedz, and Liquid Alienware Neazel.

Despite these issues surrounding Apex, including the cheating issues plus Season 22’s controversial battle pass, ALGS Split Two Pro League still continues to run.

Regional Finals will end on Jul 14 for NA and EMEA regions, while the LAN playoffs begin on Aug 29.
