eSports has a number of young players, many under the age of 20, and CS2 is no exception. However, what is new is that there are more teenagers playing on top teams than ever before.

It’s so normal these days to see teenagers on elite CS squads, which was not a usual occurrence back in the day.

One of the reasons for the boom in youngsters is the investment in academy teams. Take a look at the youngest players in CS2 Tier 1.

1. MZINHO – 16 years old

The youngest player in all of CS2 Tier 1 at sixteen years old. He is on TheMongolz’s roster, and he has chosen to go with the youth rather than experienced veterans whom they have let go.

On average, the team’s age sits below 20 years old, thus making them the youngest team in the top 20. He struggled at the beginning of his TheMongolz career, finishing with negative K/D in tournaments. However, he’s been consistent on the team since the end of 2023.

2. DONK – 17 years old

Donk has enjoyed an interesting career at barely 17 years old after winning the tournament MVP medal in his first tier-one LAN at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2023.

Also at IEM Katowice, he averaged a 1.70 rating over the course of the tournament playing for Spirit, who claimed the trophy over FaZe Clan.

Donk’s performances individually, irrespective of Team Spirit’s result in a tournament, have been worth commending, and it is scary to imagine what kind of player he will be in the coming years.

3. JIMPPHAT – 17 years old

Compiling this list cannot be completed without a player from MOUZ as they also bank on youngsters like TheMongolz.

Jimpphat, at 17-year-old is impressive with his cerebral anchoring skills and numerous multi-kill rounds on the server. He never felt out of place since making his tier-one Counter-Strike debut. He’s hugely regarded as well one of the best players in his position in the world.
