Adam has been enjoying a good run at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship with Team BDS, who smashed Golden Guardians in the Qualifying Series and had champions like Garen. Adam was close to breaking a record on Tuesday with one of his favorite signature picks.
In the game against Team Whales on Wednesday, Adam picked his go-to champion, Darius, against Team Whales on October 11 and was unplayable in his god-mode performance. He ended the first game of the series with 8/0/4 KDA.
He went on to dominate the Vietnamese team and accumulated the second-high gold difference at 14 minutes for a top laner in Worlds history with 3,300 gold.
The French player is playing at the Worlds for the second time. Adams previous appearance at the tournament was with Fnatic, although the European squad unfortunately finished 1-5 in their group.
There will be a chance to better the record for Adam if he BDS progresses in Worlds 2023. The Worlds have a new format this year, which requires BDS to initially go through the Play-In stage before the Swiss stage.
BDS are favorites to qualify, even though they are the only team from a major region to be in the Worlds 2023 Play-In. But to achieve that, they’ll have to get past Team Whale and anyone else standing in their way.
Meanwhile, the Dojo’s iiTzTimmy, XSET Sikezz, and TSM ImperialHal all unarguably agrees that Koyful is the star and best Apex Legends’ best controller player.
All eyes will be on the Sentinel’s 16-year-old team rising star Koyful, who, amidst the best controller debate, could be on the move as rostermania takes over as the transfer window for the Apex Legends Pro League. His status may not be debatable, but his team may be.
