The North American competitive route to the 2023 League of Legends World Championship has been carved as the biggest and best players in the region prepare for the LCS Championship.

There are eight teams left on the journey, but the most impressive and best players in the regular season in their respective roles will be rewarded. The 2023 LCS first-team All-Pro awards were announced on Wednesday, and the list had some of the best names.

The list had veteran top laner Eric “Licorice” Ritchie, jungler Robert “Blaber” Huang, mid-lane phenom Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun, AD superstar Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol, and support Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun.

Jojopyun dominated the public voting sheet, and he duly received all but four votes for the first team racking up 106 points. Even though he had a bad time in the spring campaign, the young star had a bounce-back split, leading the underdog Evil Geniuses roster to a great 12-6 record.

Evil Geniuses had lost players like Ssumday, Inspired, FBI, and Vulcan, which weakened the team and also reduced the expectations of fans on the team in terms of final placement on the standings.

18-year-old Jojopyun had the sixth-most kills in the league, 75.6 percent kill participation, and 30.3 percent total team kill share game stats in the league.

Licorice received 70 points which is the least amount of voting points among the first team. The 25-year-old veteran returned to form, impressing on picks like Jax and K’Sante.

Perhaps the unsurprising name on the All-Pro selection is Blaber, who is getting his fifth top All-Pro nomination in eight seasons with C9. The C9 star is considered one of the best jugglers on the team.

Berserker is having a rollercoaster with his back-to-back first-team All-Pro awards through 2023. It’s not surprising to see, as he’s one of the most dominant marksmen in the league, with a league-leading 8.2 KDA and 67 kills. The 2023 LCS Championship will begin at 4 pm CT on Thursday.
