OpTic Texas do not look like they will slow down anytime soon as they started their winner’s bracket with a 3-1 win over Boston Breach to continue their hot streak in the Call of Duty League’s Major Four.

Mercado Las Almas Hardpoint, which was the first map of the series, OpTic continued their great form as they took an early lead and continued in the same vein through the map and kept Boston at arm’s length.

However, every time Boston Breach tried to catch up, OpTic always closed them down, especially through two veterans of the green wall, Shotzzy, and Dashy.

The two long-time OpTic Texas players were about to do a combined 53 kills and 33 deaths, and both held K/Ds over 1.5, helping OpTic to a 250-164 map one victory.

In the Embassy Search and Destroy, it looked like Boston would have an advantage as OpTic had not played on it since the season’s second Major back in early February.

Texas showed their strength by leading 1-0 after Dashy Gaines collateral with the sniper, but Boston dominated the rest. Nero took the initiative with three kills in back-to-back rounds, taking a 4-3 lead that eventually became a 6-3 win that tied the series at one map apiece.

OpTic again started strongly at Breenbergh Hotel Control, picked up A point, and captured B point. Boston managed to win their defensive stand despite OpTic’s early life advantage. Round two was the same but in a vice versa situation, with OpTic tieing it again at 1-1.

The two teams managed to push it to round five, and Texas took advantage of the defence in round five. They made sure Boston didn’t get close for the remaining point, which OpTic used to win the map at 3-2 and a 2-1 lead in the series.
