Moist Mogul’s Ludwig has confirmed that the ex-CLG Red roster will be under his banner ahead of the upcoming VCT Game Changers North America Series One tournament.

The former CLG Red roster was released by their organization but still managed to qualify for the competition. Moist Mogul confirmed the move on Saturday via a video that detailed the basis behind the acquisition of Counter Logic Gaming.

Ludwig explained in the video that Moist Mogul are not as financially strong as it would take to oversee a full team of players, but they can still sign the CLG Red Game Changers VALORANT roster for the main event of VCT Game Changers North America Series One starting on Tuesday, April 11.

Furthermore, he explained that the Red players got in touch with him proposing one-off support at a single tournament, but he went on to explain that he wants to help the team beyond paying their salary for the tournament.

“We’re going to pay them a salary for this tournament and then try and find them a home. I know this is obviously super sudden for Moist, but it felt wrong to not do anything.”

Ludwig also addressed the financial activity of Moist, which has increased since bringing in two other VALORANT rosters and Zain. He warned, though, that there is a limit to what they can spend while also ending any thoughts of Moist entering the LCS.

Meanwhile, the Golden Guardians have done the ultimate underdog run after qualifying for their first LCS Grand finals, beating FlyQuest in the lower bracket finals of the 2023 LCS Spring Playoffs to achieve it.

They will face C9 in the grand finals of the Spring Playoffs in their first meeting at this year’s Spring Playoff, although they faced off in the regular season. C9 are yet to lose a game in their upper-bracket playoffs so far.
