One of North America’s most experienced jungler Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen, has hung up his keyboard and mouse after a long and storied League of Legends career.

The former TSM Challengers jungler will move away from professional play and become a coach after making an announcement in that regard on social media on Wednesday.

9 years in the LCS.

7 Time finalist.

5 World championships.

And countless memories with great teammates, friends, and fans. I’ll forever cherish every moment!

Moving on, I will be looking for coaching opportunities.

After nine years as a player, the coaching role is Svenskeren’s next target as he pursues a new future. The 27-year-old last played as a jungler last season for TSM’s Challenger roster, but his last LCS act was with Evil Geniuses in 2021.

Svenskeren played for Cloud9 in 2018 and 2019, but despite these experiences, he never won the LCS Championship with Cloud9, although his contributions helped them remain a top four squad in the 2018 World Championship.

Since then, no LCS roster made it to the semi-finals of the Worlds, as it remains one of his remarkable performances at the international event.

His time at TSM still brought the best out of him, as he was part of one of the world’s most dominant rosters in the league.

Meanwhile, further back in 2016, the Dane was with Biofrost, Doublelift, and Hauntzer to win three back-to-back LCS trophies. The team, unfortunately, didn’t make big steps at international tournaments they played in.

The next step for Svenskeren is to look for a team to fill in their coaching role ahead of the 2023 Summer Split.

Meanwhile, Team Heretics is set for a return to competitive Call of Duty after entering into a major partnership with Call of Duty League franchise Florida Mutineers.

The partnership will form Miami Heretics and will see them play in the CDL beginning next season.
