The Summer Split is almost coming to a close and while things may not always have gone Fnatic’s way this time around, the guys still managed to steal the spotlight on multiple occasions. Join us as we relive six of our favorite moments this split, one for each Fnatic player!

1. First Blood

Everyone was hyped about Yellowstar’s return to Europe this summer. The legendary support was a part of Fnatic during their Semifinals placement at Worlds last year before moving overseas to join American team TSM. After a split on the other side of the Atlantic, he was ready to return to Europe and Fnatic. It wasn’t long after his return that he showed us why we are happy to have him back!

2. Your jungle belongs to me now

Korean superstar Spirit has been around the League scene for a while now, having played in Korea as a part from Samsung Galaxy Blue and China as a part of Team WE. Spirit then joined Fnatic to prove himself in Europe. He has been stealing enemy jungle camps left right and center this split and if the opposing team wasn’t careful that also included the occasional Baron and Dragon steal. This one for example!

3. The one man Gnarmy

Alongside Spirit, Gamsu joined Fnatic as a package deal. Throughout the split we’ve often seen him left to his own devices in the Top Lane but we’ve also seen incredible plays come out from him this split. Watching him play Gnar for example has been a real joy. We’ve seen him pick up First Blood with his boomerang on one occasion as well as lock down 4 members in a game winning teamfight!

4. Never stop fighting..

Sometimes a teamfight takes everything you and your team got and this minute and a half nail biter was a great example of that. It were Rekkles and Yellowstar who started the whole thing in the bot lane, Gamsu who turned it around and Febiven and Spirit who cleaned things up in the end.

5. ..unless you run out of targets to hit

Other times, you just have to go for it and that’s what Rekkles did in our game against Splyce. The AD Carry has been called out in the past for not taking enough chances and playing too passive of a laning phase. With Yellowstar’s return we saw an increased level of aggression and suddenly skillshot flew everywhere, a flash was burned and the result was there in this amazing 1v1/2v2..

6. Calculated

Kikis joined Fnatic in Week 7 to replace Gamsu as the team’s top laner. Kikis has been known to be aggressive in lane and not shy away from a 1v1. It didn’t take him long after joining to make it into the weekly highlight reels with this outplay in the bottom lane on Gnar vs Rumble. We are sure it was all calculated and planned, except for maybe the teleport in.
