Roster Shuffle Update

The post-International drama intensifies as we get nearer to the deadline date of the drop period of Valve’s two-step roster shuffle.

Some bridges have been burned, while others were built and strengthened.

And this piece of speculation and intrigue aims to put all the action in one place!

SEAcrets revealed

Arguably the biggest news this week is that Team Secret reached halfway through the globe to boost its team, as the Turkey-based squad picked up MVP Phoenix’s Pyo ‘MP’ No-a and Lee ‘Forev’ Sang-don, Fnatic’s Yeik ‘MidONe’ Nai Zheng.

Secret, who had a disappointing TI6 this year, parted ways with three of its cores in Jacky ‘Envy’ Mao, Atrour ‘Arteezy’ Babaev and Sam ‘Bulba’ Sosale to make way for their heavy duty Asian reinforcements.

Daryl ‘iceiceice’ Koh Pel Xiang found a new teammate, according to his Twitter account, but he also confirmed he left EHOME, while LGD Gaming dismissed the rumors of Lu ‘Maybe’ Yao’s exit and insisted it is building the team around the veteran.

OG, EG in chaos

OG, who also had an unexpected early exit in the last International, saw its lineup slashed after Amer ‘Miracle-‘ Barqawi, David “MoonMeander” Tan and Andreas ‘Cr1t-‘ Franck Nielsen left the two-time Major winners.

Barqawi is still without a squad, while Nielsen is rumored to be forming a team with Arteezy, and ‘Moonmeander’ is now with TI6 runner-up Digital Chaos. Captain Tal ‘Fly’ Alzik and Johan N0tail’ Sundstein are the ones who are still with OG as of writing time.

Evil Geniuses, too, was left with just two players after Summail ‘SumaiL’ Hassan left EG’s roster following the release of Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis and Ludwig ‘zai’ Wahlberg.

The American giant is left with Saahil “Universe” Arora and Peter “ppd” Dager.

Not all smiles

SumaiL, who had the fourth highest KDA ratio at the International 6 at 4.99, reportedly left EG after the squad axed zai. SumaiL is rumored to be a close friend to zai, whose performances do not meet the standards of ‘ppd’.

To make room for Moonmeander, Digital Chaos had to remove one and the team decided to leave out David ‘Moo’ Hull, who seemed to have disliked the team’s prerogative.

Hull, who remains to be team-less in the moment, corrected a fan who said he left DC, and clarified that he was removed.

Philippines-based TNC Gaming is still without players, after all the members of their incredible run in the International left the rosters two days after the drop period started because of unknown reasons.
