Roster Shuffle Update

One team goes down, while one squad is fully rebuilt, and another group is slowly picking up the pieces in this latest update on the post-International Roster Shuffle!

BURNING

South Korean team MVP Phoenix, who finished 5th-6th in TI6, seemed to have crashed hard to the ground after Kim “DuBu” Doo-young followed his former teammates’ exit and left MVP Phoenix without a single player, according to Valve’s official tracker.

Hours before DuBu announced his departure, Kim ‘QO” Seon-yeop and Kim “Febby” Yong-min also quit the team, while Lee “Forev” Sang-don and Pyo “MP” No-a have already joined Team Secret earlier this week.

DuBu, QO and Febby can all return to MVP Phoenix, provided they do not get locked by any other teams before the September 4 drop period lock.

INFUSION

Team OG lost three of its players in the early days of the shuffle chaos, but has now filled up the vacancies with two veterans in Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka and Gustav “s4” Magnusson and a young player Anathan “Ana” Pham.

The trio will take the places left by highly-rated Amer “Miracle-“ Barqawi, Andreas Franck “Cr1t-“ Nielsen and David “Moonmeander” Tan, who is now with Digital Chaos.

Captain Tal “Fly” Alzik and Johan “n0tail” Sundstein will try to improve or at least replicate their successful year, when they won two Valve events as they began their new adventure with their new players.

OG made the announcement official through their Facebook page, saying they are “excited and eager to have their debut in the near future”.

JerAx had a good run with Team Liquid, while s4 has been one of Alliance’s cores, and Ana has spent his time building clout in the Chinese gaming community.

SLOWLY BUT SURELY

Filipino team TnC gaming seem to be moving in the right direction to recreate its exciting roster after two of its five players already went back into the fold of the orange-and-black squad.

All of its players left the squad three days after the opening of the shuffle, but Sam “Sam_H” Hidalgo and Carlo “Kuku” Palad are now with the team again.

“We are not trolling. We have our own reasons why we are releasing our members one by one,” said the team through their official FB page.

“Confirmation of the players are not done all at the same time,” confirmed TnC, who had an incredible run in TI6 after knocking out OG.

Carry Marc Polo “Raven” Fausto, Nico “eyyou” Barcelon and American Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho are the three who are yet to rejoin the squad.
